You’ll find Gary and Jo from Tathra Oysters on the Far South Coast of NSW Australia

On the Far South Coast of NSW in Australia there is a very special place, it’s called Mimosa Rocks National Park. There you’ll find Gary and Jo farming the best oysters in the country. I’ve eaten their oysters for years and have always had great conversations when visiting their store, I would often say to Gary ‘when am I coming out to photograph?‘

I have been drawn to visiting this place for a long time. This analogue photographic series is an excuse I used to have the experience of 3 days of learning, eating and creating with this interesting and wonderful family. I convinced filmmaker Ryan Kermond to join me, and I helped direct a short film that is currently in the works. This series gives an insight into my experience.
